Arch Enemy 2015 - Results & Pics

This is our first One Dayer style tournament and it was a great success with 73 gamers enjoying a day of maximum games. We had a huge hand from the local retailers who sponsored the event. This meant that there were many prizes given back to the community for supporting another fun as event at ACG. We'll be looking to build on numbers in future and make sure we try to not clash with so many events next time. For all of you who were at the Cricket, Weddings, Down by the lake... get yourself into game mode earlier in the year next time ;)

We hosted Warhammer 40K, Warhammer Fantasy, Flames of War, X-Wing and boardgaming at Freemans Bay on Saturday the 17th. This is just some of the pics of the event with some showcase armies and terrain, not to mention plenty of Board games. Once again, with the help of our Sponsors, we managed to give back heaps of prizes back to the community.

Some of the prizes presented on the day.
Mechanicum defending their turf in Warhammer 40K.
 Ogre charge! Warhammer Fantasy Battles.
Only a small amount here of the massive selection of games
Available to play in the Board gaming section.
 Imperial shuttle and it's escort
Ambushed by a Rebel YT2400 in X-Wing.

Congrats to our spot prize Winners.

So onto our events and results. We always to hold a festive style tournament for the first event of the year. Good easy way of easing back into the year after the Holiday season. Arch Enemy 2015

Arch Enemy 2015 One dayer

Warhammer Fantasy, Warhammer 40K,
Flames of War, X-Wing & Board Gaming.

When : 17th January , Saturday.
Where : Freemans Bay Community Centre.
Cafeteria on site : Pls bring cash as there is no EFTPOS
(we're a non-profit club and don't have flash doodahs)

First big event for the year. With the call for more casual events, Arch Enemy is hitting the shelf's just after the holidays to relieve that gaming itch. Good range of systems and great prize support from our Sponsors should see a good turn out from the community this year around. If you are free this Saturday there is still a few spaces free for tournaments or just pop in for some casual Board games. The event page is Here.

Board gaming has become a big thing up here in Auckland. With our central city tournament venue open again we will be hosting more community events with our large games library for you to enjoy more often. Look out for our two main tournaments Equinox (March) & NatCon (April) coming up later in the year.

Big thanks to our sponsors for their support and helping the gaming community develop.

First few games of the Year (Just got back from holiday)

Holidays are great and I spent the last couple of weeks zooming around the country visiting family. It was great to catch games in Wellington, New Plymouth and Wanganui along the way. Apologies to the guys in Rotorua and the Hawkes Bay as I didn't manage to get out that way. There's always Equinox and NatCon to catch up for games guys :)

So just back in Auckland and I managed to catch a few games on the last holiday weekday of the trip. Expect more content and Email contact now as I'm back in Broadband range again.

Space Hulk - Such superb miniatures and quality components.
Good game too.
 'Battle of the three armies.'
800pts each of Ogres, High Elves and Gobbo's bashed it out.
Prepping for 'Arch Enemy' next Saturday.

D&D attack wing. Very distinct game and Dragons galore!

So many games in such a short time - So bloody good!!
(X-Wing and Board games was had toooooo!!!)

New Skaven : WIP, more Ogres

The ratty ones get a look at the new End Times release. I hear many skitters and skutters looking forward to the new book. The New Vermin lord looks like the ticket with many a variation.

Nagash gets a taste of Big Rat!

What ever is ratting around we have the Teclis Solution.

Work in progress in Ogres is coming along pretty well.
Using all the spare Butcher parts you get and I have a Slaughtermaster
Equipped with Glittering Scales.
I really like this guy and will add some paint to them for a better perspective asap.
 Brilliant X-Wing game finish here.
Vader in Doom Shuttle shoots and duffs at the AWing (both ships are on 1 wound).
Vader raises his hand and Crits the AWing tho oblivion which also Shunders the shuttle.
Result = Draw :)

**Keep an eye here. Tournament information coming soon.**
