Arch Enemy 2019 - Warhammer 40k Doubles

Arch Enemy had great numbers of 30+ even though a few teams had to remain home due to the nasty flu that is going about mid winter (Nurge was rife). With the doubles format popular in Auckland we took the opportunity to run a event scaled up to 900pts each to test for the upcoming GuardCon 2019 convention. This meant that in a 2v2 it would be 1800pts vs 1800pts on a standard 6x4 table.

We saw some interesting combinations for teams and everyone took a bit of variety to the competition. Doubles is always a great starting point and guaranteed fun when it comes to 8th edition 40k. The atmosphere was lighthearted and friendly all day. Great place to catch up with regular faces or meet new players.

Here is the results for the day.
